In which xbox game do you get a bat and gun run around in the mall and randomly shoot people?

vague descriptions but i remember playing this when I was about 11 probably around 2002-2004 not sure what object was but you got points for killing people I know for a fact it wasn't Grand theft auto. pretty sure it was for xbox but maybe ps2.
