Can someone help me with my 3DS hinges?

I bought a brand-new Nintendo 3DS about 5 days ago. Tonight I was playing Pilotwings while I walking in my basement and I almost tripped on something and my DS screen flipped all the way back. Now,when I close the system and I move the top half the left hinge seems to be loose. Is something wrong with the hinges?
