Is it worth getting my laptop repaired?

I've had my Dell Inspiron a couple of years now and love it! However the hinges have been gradually braking for a while and the other day one of them sort of snapped and now the casing is coming off one side on the side of the screen, I can't close the lid without being really careful and find I have to leave it open to avoid further damage, I also find I have to leave it on my desk as when I move it the lid falls back. I can't go on using it like this as it is getting worse, is it worth getting it repaired or should I buy a new one? How much does it cost to repair? I really like this laptop it would be a shame to have to get rid of it but if the cost of repair isn't worth it I may have to get a new one :(
