Should I get an IPad or Macbook?

I am undecided about whether to get the new IPad or a Macbook. I have a laptop already but its starting to get slow and the hinge is broken which is annoying, but it still works fine I suppose. I would have to save up for the Macbook also, but I have enough for the IPad. Also I am 14, and use my laptop for games and some games don't work because my laptop doesnt have enough memory or something.
