Can I take an old laptop screen and convert it into a small tv screen?

I had an old Compaq laptop and I took it apart and took the screen of the hinges after uplugging the 2 cord things coming out of it. I was wondering if it were possible to find a power supply thing that would work for it. And then wire it to accept the audio and video (red, white, and yellow) cords so i can hook up an old gamecube to it. Is it possible? If so, how can I accomplish this?
